Klyv secures pre-seed funding round

December 16, 2025

Klyv Therapeutics has secured a pre-seed funding round, with investments from Aleap Ventures, Startuplab, and a group of angel investors. Alongside grants awarded to the company, the round marks an important step in Klyv’s early development.

The funding allows Klyv to take its work forward in lead optimization — the stage of designing and refining the small-molecule drug candidates at the heart of its anti-fibrotic approach — and to continue growing the team as the company builds out its programme in heart failure and cardiac fibrosis.

“We have had the privilege of following Klyv Therapeutics early on, and what truly stands out is the strength of the science combined with a clear clinical vision. Maria Vistnes is an ambitious founder, a cardiologist and researcher who has chosen the harder path of entrepreneurship because she believes this is the best way to make a real difference for patients”, says Erling Nordbø, Managing Partner, Aleap Ventures.

Klyv is grateful for the backing of its investors, and for the experience and insight they bring as the company moves into its next phase.
